Person Tally Using Streaming Video
This was developed during my Industrial Internship after the completion of my Second Year of B.Tech in Summer 2004 at Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City, Navi Mumbai; the headquarters of Reliance Infocomm. Together with Prabhat, I developed a software capable of counting the number of persons moving in and out of a doorway being monitored by a camera connected to a VST on network. This application uses Java Media Framework and is capable of doing motion detection in a video feed. The Area of Interest can be set up dynamically and all the local settings for a particular location can be saved. It can run on both stored digital video as well can be connected directly to an analog camera.

This application can find its application in Super Markets for surveillance as well as for security automation in Various Enterprises.
